The phonics related materials will help enrich and engage my behavior unit students who are below their instructional reading level according to their grade level. In my classroom, their behavior impedes their learning and I am hoping these materials will help keep them focus and create a love for learning. I also picture a reading/cool down corner in my classroom for students who need a mental break or begin to get frustrated with the academic rigor of the work. I will use this space for students to take a five minute break and read a social emotional small text related to their frustration.
