Health and wellness have been front and center since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Obesity rates are high in the United States, and those suffering from obesity are most at risk for severe symptoms from coronavirus. The habits that lead to lifelong fitness and low obesity rates start when people are young. It is my goal to introduce my Physical Education students to a wide variety of activities and games that will allow them to play and have fun. When they see that fitness can be fun the activities we do together will become part of their daily lives, and they will grow into adults who have both the knowledge and desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle through adulthood.
