This project is designed to provide students with tools that will help them collaborate in the classroom. After a year of primarily at-home, independent learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students need the time and the tools to re-engage in thought-provoking, rigorous group work to build both their social skills and their academic skills. The items in this project will help students work collaboratively in a variety of contexts. Clipboards and containers will make it possible for students to work together when their science investigations bring them outside. A large rolling whiteboard will provide students with a new brainstorming space - one that is large, moveable, and encourages many students to work on it at once. Markers and magnetic clips will help students create science models together and display their work for peer feedback. These tools will benefit students not only by creating a variety of new flexible learning spaces but also by encouraging the collaboration that so many students missed out on during virtual learning.
