The leadership students will be tasked with painting recycling bins with inspirational sayings. The students will be the educators of the other students and that is powerful. Teaching our youth the importance of recycling has been my passion since I started teaching 30 years ago. Our oceans in Hawaii need a break from the endless plastic that is all throughout it. We can start that journey right in the courtyard of our school. We will be brainstorming what we can put on the cans to make it impossible to pass by without putting their bottles and cans in the right place!
