When working primarily with students with disabilities and/or trauma, you soon recognize the need for more life-like materials and experiences to aide in academics as well as social emotional skills. A common characteristic of many students with disabilities or trauma is the need for visuals. More specifically, visuals in the forms of visual schedules, social stories, visuals matching words, etc. By having a color printer and ink, it not only allows for learning that will be more visual and engaging to students, but it also allows for students to receive real life examples. As an educator it is my goal to give my students as many real life experiences as possible.
