These comfy bean bags and floor pillows will assist me in providing my students a quiet and comfortable corner within the classroom that allows them to read in a relaxing and cozy environment. Many of my students struggle with reading and are often hesitant to embrace the task of reading and enjoying books. However, in my class, we celebrate learning, so the purpose is to get my 2nd graders reading and establish a love and appreciation for knowledge. I want my student to have a less restrictive space within our classroom that will allow them to stretch out, lean back, and enjoy developing their love of reading. I hope this creates a foundation that they will be able to mimic at home while they stretched out and relax to foster the urge to pick up a book and broaden their horizons.
