As a teacher, I know that it is important that students get up and move throughout their day. Cooperative learning is a huge part of our classroom. Students will have a choice of which flexible seating they would like to use while working on math problems, discussing the latest chapter book or getting a head start on their homework. Flexible seating is beneficial to all students. Students benefit from moving around the classroom by getting their wiggles out and then being able to focus on their work. Having flexible seating gives the students a choice and taking care of the seating will create a responsible community.
