The play-doh will be used at school for free choice and any other down time for strengthening the muscles in the children's hands. With these muscle stronger they will be able to write earlier and better. The need for a variety of books in a classroom is high. The more books in the classroom, the more chances to expose children to quality material. The material will peak their interest and create a lifelong reader. The books on cd will be used during centers for the children to be more independent. The children can listen to these with a friend and on their own or with a teacher. They can even listen as a whole group.
