Students will create their own stamps using traditional Hawaiian Designs. Stamps will be used to print designs on their "Kihei", a Hawaiian garment that drapes diagonally across the body and tied at the left shoulder. Stamping requires patience, positivity, and self-control. Students learn Hawaiian Values and Culture through the entire process, from beginning to end. Their finished product will be used in a culminating performance and during their promotion ceremony. It is an accomplishment they will remember in their lifetime. I practice all of these things that I share with my student. I am a lifelong learner.
