All of our students needs some form of privacy throughout the day to help them learn. Currently we use large pieces of cardboard to block off centers in our classroom. For our students with attention problems, having dividers allows for less distractions by blocking off toys or eliminating looking around in the room. Not only can the dividers be used for this but they can also provide privacy while students are having related services such as speech, occupational and physical therapy. The dividers will also allow us to create socially-distance spaces. Due to the ongoing pandemic we continue to have to distance our students and their learning spaces, having specific marked areas allows them to safely engage in learning without intruding on others spaces. Classroom dividers will allow us to create healthy, safe and defined learning spaces in our room. As we continue to teach in-person, health and safety is our number one priority. Dividers will also create a safe and healthy environment during our nap time as students will not be wearing masks during this time. Having dividers would be a critical asset to make a safe in-person learning experience for students, teachers and to ease parent concerns.
