Students will be creating a drawing portfolio. We will be learning a number of drawing techniques with an emphasis on portrait drawing. We want to use high quality supplies so that our drawings exhibit a higher level of professionality. We are planning on having the students enter their best work in galleries and shows. This way they can be recognized for their artistic abilities. Students will also make social/emotional connections as they draw. They will use drawing as a way to explore their thoughts and feelings. They will also have opportunities to collaborate with each other and critique each others work.
