My students are currently sitting on carpet squares that are velcro'd to the hard tile floor. The velcro is getting yucky and the carpet squares are sliding all around. Last year we tried chairs, but since a music room doesn't need desks, there wasn't really anything to anchor the chairs to and they would end up all over the place. If I had a large carpet, the kids could sit comfortably and they would be secure in knowing where they sit each day. A new large carpet would be fabulous, give my students somewhere comfortable to sit and help keep them organized and safe.
