My 7th and 8th grade health students are a very eager and engaging group to work with. Last year was my first year teaching this class, but because of the uncertainty surrounding COVID, transmission, and in-person learning, I was not able to "decorate" my classroom in a way that was feasible with COVID cleaning and classroom materials. I say "decorate" because I really wanted to find resources relevant to our curriculum that will help as a visual and tactile aid in understanding their bodies and overall health. Teaching 7th and 8th grade can be difficult because they have often outgrown the "fun" learning materials, like play-doh and crayons, so I have to get creative in finding ways to help them grasp new concepts. By helping me purchase these items, you are helping not only this class, but future classes to have resources to better their understanding of their health, holistically.
