My students are going to be writing and illustrating their own 8 x 10 books. We will spend about a month as authors, writing our stories and having editors help improve them and being illustrators with art directors giving feedback. Once all the pieces are done, we will put the books together and bind them. We will then have an Authors/Illustrators Celebration where each student will present a summary of their book to the class, parents and special guests. The students will be so proud of what they have accomplished and will treasure their books for many years to come. Please help my students become the amazing, creative authors and illustrators that I know they can be with sketchpads, glue, and markers.
