Teaching agriculture in a rural area has its perks! Most, if not all students are from an agriculture background. Many of them come from a small farming business or are local breeders for our county show. My students enjoy these hands-on electives which include Principles of Agriculture, Greenhouse Operations, Floral Design, and Advance Plant and Soil. I love learning from my students just as much as they love learning from me in my hands-on classroom. These supplies will allow me to have more peer-to-peer learning, visual learning and make my learning environment more creative and fun! Students will understand the basics of Plant and Soil Science while studying the in-depth ideas of how our fruits and vegetables are produced.
