Most of my students in first grade will be experiencing face to face learning for the first time. I want to create a warm, loving and safe environment, so that they are excited to learn. The comfy floor seats will provide inviting alternative chairs for reading. The Kinetic Sand, Wikki Stix, Magna Tiles, Drill Kit and Building Bricks are STEM and fine motor activities essential for this age group. The phonemic awareness cards will enhance and extend whole group/small group lessons. Most learning takes place during small group instruction. When I am working with my small groups, the other students will be divided into groups for learning stations. The items in my cart will help to motivate my students and make learning exciting for them.
