Giving students voice and choice with regard to where work is completed, makes a huge impact on their engagement and ability to concentrate and work effectively. By allowing students the choice to work seated at a traditional desk, or in one of the flexible seating choices provides them with ownership of their choice, and I have found that productivity increases. Our students spend more time in the school setting than they do in their own homes, so making the space feel and be welcoming and comfortable are of utmost importance.

About my class
