I am new to second grade and starting off with about 10 books. I am hoping to stock my classroom library with books for a very diverse population. I strive for all of my students to feel welcomed in my classroom. I feel that diversity in the classroom library helps me accomplish this. I’d love to be able to fill my library with great books for my students. Other items would be used to benefit my students while working independently and while working in groups. File folders would be used to create Writer’s Workshop folders that will be given to every students. These would have everything from number words to sight words and translations for my ELL students.
