My intro to robotics class starts students with the basics of algorithms and how important it is that they are written precisely and correctly. These LEGO kits would provide multiple lessons for students to get a better idea of algorithms. Also, what kid doesn’t like building with LEGO bricks!?! One lesson in particular that my students love is doing blind builds based off a partners verbal instructions. In this activity, they see how important it is to be very precise in their instructions. And they see just how critical it is when those instructions aren’t conveyor clearly.
