A classroom rug with designated seats is extremely helpful in giving students a structured and predictable space for learning in the classroom. Knowing where the class is gathering throughout the day gives students a sense of safety, and allows for smooth transitions from one activity to the next. A lot of our classroom community is built on and around the classroom rug :). We will gather to read stories, explore math manipulatives, and simply have fun together on the rug! The soft seats and chair fidget bands will be used on an individual basis for students who need some extra support to focus. Students will be taught how to use these resources and monitor their concentration during instruction and independent work.
