Ideally, I would like to teach the students the game of soccer. However, we have zero soccer balls, or even balls that could be used as soccer balls at our school. The cones would help define a specific area on our grass field as well. The jump ropes will be used for a jump rope unit during our "heart healthy" portion of the year. We do an annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association, and one of those events we do during the fundraiser is the "Jump Rope For Heart" day. Its like a field day, but with jump ropes! Students will practice jumping rope to learn about the heart, partake in healthy habits, and overall challenge their hand-eye coordination through timing and rhythm.
