Students today are asked to perform with high levels of focus and discipline. For many students, the rigor of the curriculum can be quite overwhelming . Flexible seating allows students a non-distracting way to move and fidget while also staying engaged with learning. Flexible seating options also create greater opportunities to move around and collaborate with others. With special education children spending more time in the general education classroom, I look for opportunities to aid their learning. Those students would benefit greatly from more comfortable seating. I like to allow students to lead in their own learning and these tools would equip them to do so.
