Everyone felt insecure after a year full of unknowns. I want to bring a sense of home to my classroom to help students feel emotionally stable after being on an emotional rollercoaster since the pandemic began. When students enter my room they will feel comfort with the colors, warm lighting, and clean rug at the front of the room. Although my students are older, we all desire a sense of comfort, which I want to offer in my classroom. When students feel safe and secure emotionally they will achieve higher goals. As a teacher, students spend more time in my room than they do at home, so after a huge change in the world around them I want to bring home to where they spend most of their time.
