I want my students to be able to achieve their greatest learning potential in an environment that is open, safe and fun for them. I truly believe that each student deserves the right to have a learning space that is inviting, safe and a place for them to be themselves. Being a new, first year, special education teacher, I don't have the money or the resources to provide everything for my student that I would like to. I want my students to be successful. I want my students to love learning, but I also want them to love the environment that they are learning in as well. The resources that I have requested through this project will greatly benefit my students. The items will allow my students to have all the necessary equipment to be successful. Some examples of the items I have requested are: pencils, erasers, markers, glue, pens, books, lysol wipes, and Kleenexes. The books that I requested for my students are aligned with lessons that help students boost their reading skills. With these books, students will become more fluent readers and increase their comprehension skills. Thank you in advance for anything and everything that you can do for my students and our classroom!
