Hello all! My name is Mrs. Meade and I am a first-year art teacher! I am so excited to start my dream job. My students are absolutely wonderful and incredibly creative. Last year the school took a poll during career week to see what careers our students would be interested in pursuing professionally. I was overjoyed to see that artist was the winning occupation. My students are passionate about art and I want to continue to engage their interest. I hope to teach them the skills and techniques to be able to pursue creative careers after grade school. Having these materials would not only benefit their creativity but provide me with the resources to keep my lessons fun and engaging! Children need to explore different mediums so they can understand the elements and principles of art and design. Through acrylic, printmaking, watercolor, and tempera, my students will develop a better grasp and understanding of art basics. The easels will also teach them how to work on their artwork properly and how art is done as a professional setting. Thank you for helping the “A” in STEAM shine.
