These materials will help my students engage in learning and experience success. Last year, I successfully worked in writing groups but had to bring blankets from home to lay on the ground. Students LOVED sitting in a different spot. The classroom rug will allow us to have classroom meetings and provide flexible seating for writing groups. My students are more engaged when activities are differentiated and challenging. These materials will help create that environment. I plan escape rooms and activities where students move around the classroom. Clipboards, dry erase markers, and pencils are essential to these engaging activities. The green pencils will encourage peer editing and the writing process to communicate through writing effectively. I strive to create a positive, fun atmosphere for my students. The rhyming game can be used as a reward experience that also promotes language skills. It could also be used when having inside recess due to weather (which happens quite often in Louisiana!).
