This rug will bring my students together for morning meetings, storytime, and small group collaboration. Having a place to come together in the classroom is very important to build relationships and foster a sense of community. The rug will also bring students closer for a better view of books, videos, and anchor charts. It will also be a much comfier place for them to sit than on the cold, hard tile floor. This can also be used as a place for students to stretch out during independent reading, writing, or math stations.
