Independent Reading was one of the challenges during the Remote Learning period. Some students didn't find enough time to love reading while some didn't read for joy. My goal for my students this year is to help them love the reading for their rest of life. One of the strategies promoting their reading interest is Flexible Seating. Ambience in the classroom combined with the choice of seats will lure the students to dive into the reading world. With the comfort offered by the flexible seats, students will increase their stamina for reading and the joy inside the book can be revealed by them. Also, the pillows will be used for Calm Down corners where students spend their time to relax, get back to green zone, and reactivate the learning mode. The balls with the little stand will also be used for group discussions, drama, presenting the project, and as rewards for their behavior in the classroom. I believe that the addition of flexible seating will meet the needs of the diverse learners in my classroom.
