These fun and exciting materials will make a difference in my classroom because they will not only facilitate learning, but also make our space fun and inviting. My hope for the flexible seating and new books is that it will encourage students to enjoy reading and show them learning doesn’t always have to take place at a desk. With the comfortable seating options, I plan to implement things like “flashlight Friday” were students get comfy with a book of their choice, and read for 30 minutes using a flashlight I will provide. It is my hope that fun activities like this will lead to students who enjoy school, love reading, and foster an appreciation for learning. I also hope these items will help create a safe and fun environment all students look forward to coming to.
