I have seven students diagnosed with Autism. I have four first graders and three second graders. Their ages range from 6-9. My students are high functioning and are working on the same curriculum as their same age peers. This is definitely challenging because my students process things differently, and require constant redirection and supervision. I have found that they are able to focus and learn best with the help of visuals. This is also an issue because at the present time my school does not have enough laptops and tablets due to lack of funds in the budget. My school is an elementary school grades Pre K- 5. Teachers and parents at my school are very involved and put the children first.
