We will use the orbiter to demonstrate how the moon orbits the earth while the earth orbits the sun. This device also shows students how the shadow in the moon changes and why. In the past, we’ve used paper moons on a stick and a flashlight. This device will help students better understand the concept. We will use the circuits to demonstrate how they work. Students stand in a circle holding hands. This represents the circuit. When everyone it touching, the rod will illuminate. If someone lets go, or breaks the circuit, the rod will go dark.
