This carpet will allow my students a comfortable sense of community and a way to feel connected during a time of learning, regardless of how COVID-19 has changed our new normal! I would love to provide a rug through my own expenses; however, I am a first year teacher and a single mother. I would greatly appreciate any help to allow my students the opportunity to sit eye to eye with me in our thriving and calming environment. I enjoy the bonding time of discussion and communicating that goes into "carpet time". In a room that is self contained, it is an easy transition to allow students the ability to ask questions and talk to peers before being released to a work time task.

About my class
