The students at my school come from a wide variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds. Our school is a magnet school, so every student here is a "fish out of water" who has applied to come here instead of their neighborhood school. Some of them get on a bus as early as 4am to catch a transfer bus and make it here by the 7:30am bell. More than half of our student population receives free or reduced lunch.
