Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning and make choices based on what is most comfortable for them. Every day, the students will be able to choose where they would like to sit in my classroom. My kids can work in a variety of spaces. They can sit at high or low tables, lie on the floor with lapboards and clipboards, or get inside tents. Flexible seating will allow my students children to make choices, giving them ownership of their learning environment and letting them be comfortable while learning! Flexible seating will add to their attention and engagement in lessons, and cut down disruptions. I am moving back to first grade for the first time in 11 years! I know that they are very active at this age, and I believe adding wobble stools and chair balls to my classroom will greatly benefit my students.
