What interests third grade students? That is the question that I keep asking myself. I have recently been transferred to a third grade reading position at my school and I am trying to motivate my students to become expert readers by encouraging students to read independently and creating an organized space to promote learning. Students in my class that read independently will receive "class pets" to care for throughout the year. Once reading goal is met, they will also get a chance to use the claw machine. Please help me!
