The tennis balls will help the students be able to focus during class - have you ever heard the scraping of chairs on a tile floor? We have needed scissors, colored pencils, a sharpener, and white boards for a while, too. My students LOVE writing on white boards! Covid has made that task a little more difficult so them being able to use personal white boards will really make a difference for them. They love doing their math on the boards during our review games. My students also enjoy using different colors during our fraction units as well as our multiplication/division units.
