We have a responsibility as teachers to offer diverse voices and perspectives for our students. It is also important that students can "see themselves" within at least some of the works we read throughout the year. Many of the class novel sets in our building do not match the level of diversity within our school building, and that needs to change. We have a growing population of Latinx students, but unfortunately in our high school we do not have any class novel sets by Latinx authors. Please help me bring my classroom library up to speed in order to better reach ALL of my students!
