Students struggling with anxiety, depression or just being unable to focus, could use this space as a safe place where they can learn coping skills, learn meditation or just learn how to interact with other children. It can provide a sense of calm and comfort, helping students learn to self-regulate their behaviors, which can ultimately improve their focus. For some students, it can help develop their sight, sound, touch, and hearing as well as encourage independent thinking. If used with the school OT and PT therapists, it can provide gross and fine motor skills for students.
