There are currently 4 kindergarten classes at my school each with 18-21 students in each class. I have 21 students this current school year. Having 21 students in my class with no teacher assistance makes it challenging to say the least but I love each one of them and want them to be successful their first year in school. Over the past few years I am getting more and more 5 year old students who have had no previous schooling. These students really need extra assistance in reading and math to be ready for the next grade. I am asking for tablets to use with these students to offer them that extra support as they master these skills. These tablets will enhance and reinforce daily assignments that I've taught in whole and small group. It is my goal to use the tablets and create a library of apps and app folders for each child who needs extra reinforcement in reading and math. My goal is to have tailor-made learning lessons/skills on these tablets to meet the needs of my students so that no child in my room will be left behind even though they may have come in behind.
