The materials I have chosen will be used to foster independence in the classroom. The carts will house the materials that students will use on a day to day basis and it easily accessible. The plan with the magnets is to use them as a attendance tracker and the doorbell will be used to gather the attention of students quickly and give them a start to a school routine and changing of subjects. I want to encourage social emotional learning and allowing students to find and understand their own feelings. The doorbell will be used as a warning to students that we are going to transition into the next activity allowing a notice for some students whom may struggle with the transitions and feelings. Throughout my college years I have collected some books but have no way of organizing and finding books efficiently. These book holders are one way I can break my books up into categories and make them easier to find when lesson planning.
