We will use these supplies to set up our own aquaponics system in our classroom. Students will be responsible for the many different aspects of setting up and mainaining a system involving live fish and plants. The students will be experiencing and learning many different lessons, from water testing to plumbing. They will also be gaining valuable experience in taking care of live animals and plants. They will directly benefit from the results by enjoying a harvest of different vegetables. They will also have the opportunity to be able to experiment with different variables as the system runs.
