My students attend a school where they are nurtured and valued and challenged to maximize their potential. Unfortunately, our supply budget is $.45 per student per year, so we can't always provide them with as much as we'd like to in the way of materials to inspire and engage them. They sometimes have difficulty challenging themselves, actively engaging in learning, and/or accurately assessing their own performance. They are funny and lively and often lack a desire to work as hard as they need to to achieve at a high level. While they are often good at "doing," they are not always inspired to "redo" - too often, their rough draft is their final draft.
