We are a Title 1, inner-city school in a poverty stricken area of our city. My students consist of 100% African Americans who all qualify for our free lunch program. They are a group of eager and naturally energetic boys who enjoy learning new things. My students love reading and they love working on our classroom computers. To get their reading wheels turning, I want to find stimulating activities that are fun and educational. These reading center activities will help to reinforce skills and concepts that I have taught them. The Internet will open up a world of knowledge and experiences that will also help with reading for both advanced and struggling readers.

About my class
