This past week we experienced a lot of heavy rainfall in our area. After all of the rain collected over a few days on the roof; it eventually broke through causing flood damage in my classroom. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beloved rug! The rug is an integral part of any classroom of young students because it is a safe and comfortable place for students to learn and grow. My students love our classroom rug and we use it each day for things such as circle and story time, playing games, working with clipboards, and enjoying stories. Our classroom looks empty without our rug and I would love for my students next year to walk into a room with a fresh new rug, ready for activities.
