These items, including multiple SEL books, will allow for bibliotherapy so my counseling students can learn important social emotional skills to succeed as learners and beyond. Reading is such an integral component to success and is a great way to build rapport with students and also teach pertinent social and life skills. Through these books, my students will be able to learn to essential social skills of identifying feelings, accepting no, calming strategies, mindfulness techniques, and so much more. Students will be able to engage in art therapy with play doh and other art activities. When one is able to regulate emotions and be confident, they can learn and achieve more! I am excited to use all of these items to foster academic, career, and social emotional development of all of my students! School should be a safe place and I am excited to offer some items to allow for students to express themselves and learn the essentials in order to succeed now and in their future!
