Vocabulary skills have been decreasing year by year and I want that to stop in my room or at least decrease by ALOT. Giving my students dictionaries will be extremely beneficial in helping them take control of their learning and have a tangible way to look words up will help with this deficit tremendously. They will be used in small group as well as whole group instruction. The dictionaries are on their level and they provide an easy way for them to look up meanings, spellings, etc. I can’t wait to see my students putting these dictionaries to great use!
