To say that this school year has been a rough one is an understatement. But no matter how rough this school year got, these students kept pushing through. Their perseverance and dedication to building relationships and pursuing a meaningful education shined through and dominated what should have been an impossible school year. Because of their inspiring actions, I would like to reward my students with a few trinkets to commemorate this school year. My students, across races, cultures, and backgrounds, came together to make this year work. Deep down, I know that the relationships we built as a class defied the expectations of others in such a historically different school year. If my project is funded, you will be helping to give back to students who deserve it; to 10, 11, and 12 year-olds who refused to back down and stood up against insurmountable odds. We all know how difficult the pandemic has been for everyone. I think it's time we reward these kids for their outstanding efforts. Thank you!
