While co-teaching in math students go from the general education classroom to my classroom to work in a smaller group. I currently have different calculators in my classroom than the general education teacher has. Having the same calculators would help to ease the confusion and aggravation students feel when trying to figure out where the buttons are on a different calculator. This happens with skills they are struggling with. This causes their confidence to go down and some students will shut down. By donating to this project you will be helping students succeed and become more confident in their math skills. Math is a tricky subject for many middle school students and they need consistency to help relieve some of the stress they feel when it comes to math. Helping students have that consistency in their tools will help to increase their learning and improve their self-confidence in math.
