This project is a collaboration between the physical education department and the arts department. Within the last few years, our school has been working on developing interdisciplinary curricula among the various subjects offered at our school. The power of these lessons helps students see how seemingly different fields can be amalgamated to create something great. With this project, the arts department will be learning about different types of dance music while the Physical Education (PE) department will be learning and actually doing the different dances. With this collaboration, we hope to also use it as a way to educate and make cultural connections. Additionally, with this keyboard, we hope to use sound effects to supplement our cheerleading team's music. Often we have to pay extra to add in extra sound effects. With this new keyboard, we will be able to do it on our own and save the team money which we can put towards other athletics and arts endeavors.
