As we begin our second year of pandemic teaching access to high quality technology tools is necessary. Most families in my community cannot provide quality headphones for their students. Students who have access to headsets participate more, are more engaged and are easier to understand. Headphones help reduce distractions, make it easier to communicate with the students and essentially make learning possible. We have learned that to successfully teach students via zoom while they are home, or socially distanced small groups in the classroom through digital platforms, students need functioning headphones with microphones.
